Wanda Higgins Named Cambridge Who’s Who
Professional of the Year in Music Camp Management
Jemez Springs, NM, August 20, 2007–Wanda Higgins, co-founder and chief executive officer of Hummingbird Music Camp, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of music camp management.
Higgins has an impressive background overseeing music lessons for children, with 49 years of experience in the field. As the chief executive officer of Hummingbird Music Camp, she manages and oversees all teaching in piano, choir, band and guitar while providing six hours of music instruction per day, among other activites. Higgins co-founded Hummingbird Music Camp with her husband, in 1959. Hummingbird Music Camp provides music instruction, band training, vocal training, hiking, storytelling, outdoor cookouts, performances, art gallery excursions and other programs for children ages eight to 14. The music camp will celebrate its 50th anniversary in summer 2008.
