Cambridge Who's Who Names Annette Pastorini Aiassa Entrepreneur of the Year in Jewelry Design

Mount Hamilton, CA, February 8, 2008, Annette Pastorini Aiassa, owner and founder of Castelnuovo d'Aiassa Designs, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Entrepreneur of the Year in jewelry design. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named the Cambridge Who's Who Entrepreneur of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership and service.

Ms. Aiassa began her company, Castelnuovo d'Aiassa Designs, five years ago. She designs and manufactures all of the jewelry and additionally oversees all business operations of the company. Ms. Aiassa’s jewelry has recently come into public favor, with her designs being regularly featured in industry publications such as JCK Magazine, Images Magazine, The Jewelry Book and Gems and Gemology. Her jewelry line has recently been picked up by Neiman Marcus department stores and now will be sold by the chain. Ms. Aiassa prides herself on searching exotic locations worldwide to find the most unique materials for her jewelry and creates her work with a European aesthetic in mind. She became involved in jewelry design because it has been a longstanding passion of hers. Her late husband, Henry Aiassa, was instrumental in encouraging her to start her business and it is his life that is the main inspiration for her work.

Ms. Aiassa received a degree in business administration from San Jose University. She is a member of the American Gem Trade Association, the Jewelers Circular Keystone, the Jewelers Board of Trade and the Women's Jewelry Association. Ms. Aiassa is proud to share the fruits of her success with the O'Connor Hospital and also donates in her late husband’s name to Santa Clara University. In 2005, Ms. Aiassa was called a ‘Rising Star’ to watch by JCK Magazine.
